
Pinsonnault, Jean-François
Jean-François’ reputation as a dynamic speaker is widely recognized. He has presented at numerous national and international conferences such as the International Type Users Association in South Africa, the Ontario Correctional Services Conference, Health Canada Conference, the Nova-Scotia and the Alberta Association of Public Service Managers conferences. A facilitator for Queen’s University’s Industrial Relations Centre (IRC), he co-facilitates programs on Building Smart Teams with Brenda Barker, and on Developing Leadership Capacity with Françoise Morissette, author of Made in Canada Leadership. As a leadership development expert, he took part in her research and since the book’s publication in 2007, has been involved in disseminating the book’s concepts and models. Jean-François is currently Special Advisor - Learning and Development with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC). During his ten years with the Crown Corporation, he was responsible for all policies and operations related to official languages, learning and development, leadership development as well as talent management. As a certified mediator, he has provided training and coaching in mediation and negotiation skills to a variety of groups, including CMHC, the Revenue Canada Agency, Peacekeepers serving in Haiti, and Weapons Inspectors bound for Iraq. He is presently writing a book on his care giving experience for his mother, prior to her passing away. His goal is to share the wonderful and life enriching gift of taking care of an elderly parent. Jean-François has over 30 years of experience in learning and development, and expertise in topics such as: strategic planning, management and leadership, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution as well as facilitating and hosting national and international conferences. He has contributed to the success of many organizations, such as: Bell Helicopter Textron, Labatt Breweries Ltd., Ault Food Ltd., Ford Canada Ltd., Canadian Pacific Hotels, Peace-Keeper training for RCMP and other law enforcement agencies, Canada Revenue Agency (F&A and IT divisions), Regional Municipality of York, Health Canada , Family Services Canada, Department of National Defense, Justice Canada, Industry Canada, Mounted Police Foundation, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Canadian International Institute of Applied Negotiation.
