Weiss, David

David Weiss David Weiss is president & CEO of Weiss International Ltd. David and his team of learning and organizational consultants lead innovative consulting and training projects that generate effective strategy, leadership, innovation, and HR solutions for leaders and employees throughout North America and Europe. He also is a highly sought after keynote speaker at conferences throughout the world.

Some of his most recent projects include facilitating strategic planning and team building sessions, developing the Leadership Excellence learning curriculum, identifying organizational designs to enable strategy to occur, enhancing employee engagement and team alignment, and coaching leaders and facilitating their development.

David is very committed to, and involved with, continuing education through major universities. He is an affiliate professor of the Rotman School of Management, a senior research fellow of Queen's University and a guest faculty member for the Schulich School of Business and the University College of Cayman Islands. He also is a member of the advisory board of the Canadian Society for Learning and Development and an Institute Certified Director (ICD.D) with the Institute of Corporate Directors. He also is a Senior HR Professional (SHRP) with the HRPA and a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) with CSTD.

David received his Doctorate from the University of Toronto and has three Masters degrees in Education, Psychology and Philosophy. He has been honoured internationally by a number of organizations including receiving the HR Leadership Award by the Asia-Pacific HR Congress and the HR Distinction Award by the Israel HR Association. He is the first lifetime fellow of the Canadian Society of Training and Development, is one of four lifetime fellows of the Canadian HR Professionals (FCHRP) by the HRPA. He has been honoured as a lifetime member of the Global Directory of Who's Who, and as a VIP lifetime member of the Presidential Who's Who. David is also the past president of the Organizational Psychology Section of the O.P.A.

David has written over 40 journal and trade articles including "Leadership Capacity: The New Organizational Capability," and "Innovative Team Learning," and he has delivered over 200 conference presentations.

David has authored or co-authored five business books: Innovative Intelligence (Wiley, 2011), Leadership Solutions (Jossey-Bass, 2007), The Leadership Gap (Wiley, 2005), High Performance HR (Wiley, 2000), and Beyond the Walls of Conflict (McGraw Hill, 1996).
